London is a popular shopping destination – from buzzling Oxford street to the vintage shops in Brick Lane, Hackney or Portobello Road. Some of the must-visit shopping destinations include Harrods, which has been named the world’s most famous department store, the high street favourites like Top Shop, House of Fraser and River Island and the 6-story department store Selfridges in Oxford Street. If you’re looking to move away from the high-street brands and want to explore some of the more diverse neighbourhoods of the city, take the Northern Tube Line to Camden. Here you will find clothing, jewellery, accessories, shoes, books, handmade crafts and some of the best street food. This distinct area is also known for its vintage shops, pubs, live music and best of all; people watching. Foodies can add Borough Market to their list, it still ranks as one of London’s oldest and biggest food markets; with everything from artisanal baked goods, meat and a variety of fresh and exotic fruits and vegetables. Transportation

Getting around Central London is easy and straightforward. The tube, buses and the overground railway system navigate to and from all mayor airports and bring you into the heart of the city. All major tourist attractions can be reached by public transport or if you’ve got a bit more time and the weather’s not looking too gloomy, jump into your comfiest pair of walking shoes and explore the city by foot. To save on extra travelling costs, enquire about Day Travelcards within the city or consider getting an Oyster card if London will be your home for more than a few days.
